This pic doesnot have its subject on any of the 4 grid points - if you divide the screen into 3 rows and 3 columns, you get 4 grid points. Generally when you place your subject at one of these, depending on the compostion, the picture comes out to be good.

But here is the pic which doesnot follow this convention, and has come up nicely.
